BMW R75, built in 1941, in configuration for machine-gun (excl MG 34).
The vehicle is in very good condition and registered in Switzerland as a veteran vehicle. (Last test by swiss road traffic licensing department in 2017) It is fully operational.
The vehicle has been professionally and true to original restored from 1999 to 2003. The gear box has completely been overhauled, the magnetos too. The axle drive has been replaced by a new one. The pistons, cylinders and cylinder heads as well as the valves etc. have been restored too, as well as the carburetors, the suspension, the exhaust collector. (Carburetors and valves have been modified to use unleaded petrol).
Most of the parts of the motorcycle are original. The cases (gear box, crank case) are in very good condition an the cylinder heads are complete with all cooling fins (not welded).
The vehicle can be seen in the Swiss Military Museum in Full-Reuenthal.
